John 5:24 KJV

19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Even if the rich man in hell could have been allowed to  be raised from the dead to warn everyone that hell was real, the non-believers still wouldn't believe him.

What is Abraham's bosom?

It's the same as Heaven in the Old Testament.  Just think of it as anyone who went to Abraham's bosom as going to Heaven.

The Good News

Most people know by now the good news of Jesus Christ in the Bible through the famous verse of scripture John 3:16 and others.

John 3:16 KJV

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 6:23 KJV

23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Judgment

Nobody escapes God's judgment at the end of their lives.  Everyone is judged.  There are two separate judgments for believers and unbelievers though.

The Judgment Seat of Christ

Everyone who wants to escape Judgment to the lake of fire will confess Jesus Christ as their lord and savior, believing in His blood atonement sacrifice on the cross for their sin, and that He was buried and risen by God three days later into Heaven.  Those who do this will go to the Judgment Seat of Christ in Heaven as soon as they die.  They will escape the lake of fire for eternity.

2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV

10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Just because you are saved as a believer in Christ doesn't mean you escape God's judgment. What it does mean is that you escape condemnation to the lake of fire for eternity, because you verbally confessed Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and believed in Jesus Christ' blood atonement on the cross as payment for all of your sin.   You believe in His blood atonement for all of your sin and His rise into Heaven three days after His death.

Believers will be rewarded based on their actions here on earth at the Judgment Seat of Christ. Even though their sins are forgiven as believers, they are still judged and rewarded based on their actions.

There are 5 crowns that can be awarded to believers at this Judgment Seat of Christ, which will be cast at His feet in celebration and praise. These crowns will be more like the Greco-Roman crown wreaths used in ancient competitions vs. the crown of a king or queen which is more a symbol of wealth.  The heavenly crowns awarded at the Judgment Seat of Christ will symbolize hard fought victories that every believer shares with God -The Trinity (God the Father, Jesus  Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit).  If it wasn't for Him you never would have made it!  It's a team victory between you and Him!

The Incorruptible Crown: (1 Corinthians 9:24-25)
The Crown of Rejoicing (1 Thessalonians 2:19)

The Crown of Righteousness (2 Timothy 4:8)
The Crown of Glory (1 Peter 5:2-5)
The Crown of Life (James 1:12)

I don't believe the Judgment Seat of Christ is meant to discourage Christians, but rather encourage believers to live a more victorious life through Jesus Christ by following His guidance and instructions and persevering until they get to Heaven!  A victorious life does not necessarily mean worldly success, it just means following Jesus and His way instead of the world's way.

The Judgment at Jesus Christ's Return

When Jesus Christ returns at the end of the 7 Year Tribulation period along with the Church- all believers with Him, He is going to destroy all evil and then separate the remaining believers, those who denied the mark of the beast and received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, from the unbelievers- those remaining who rejected Jesus Christ and received the mark of the beast on their hand or forehead. The believers will go with Jesus Christ into His Millennial Reign, while the unbelievers will go to the Great White Throne Judgment at the end of His Millennial reign on earth where they will be condemned to the everlasting lake of fire.

You can read about this in Matthew 25:31-46 KJV

The Great White Throne Judgment

All unbelievers who rejected Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, along with Satan and his angelic army, will be judged at this judgment which occurs after Jesus Christ's 1000 year reign on earth. Everyone at this judgment will be sent to the lake of fire for eternity without any chance ever to make it back.

You can read about this Judgment in Revelation 20:11-15 KJV.

The question is which Judgment do you want to go to?

Everlasting paradise vs. an everlasting lake of fire?!

Non- Belief

It doesn't matter if you don't believe in this. This is reality.  Heaven or Hell.  Your choice. Everyone is going to be judged.  It's a matter of Judgment unto rewards or Judgment unto everlasting condemnation.

Getting Saved: The Good News!

John 3:16

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 14:6

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Romans 10:9-10 NKJV

9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

The redemption of sin was paid for on the cross by Jesus Christ through His death, blood atonement, and being risen 3 days later by God into Heaven.

All you have to do to receive His blessing of eternal salvation for your life through His sacrifice at the cross is verbally declare Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and believe in your heart that He died as a blood atonement for your sins and was risen by God from the dead into Heaven. It's not something  you do through your own works.

Forgiven

The moment you verbally confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and believe in His blood atonement on the cross for your sins, that He was risen by God after being buried 3 days, all of your past sins and future sins are forgiven.

You are eternally sealed with His Holy Spirit within you.  At that moment, you are 100% assured that you will spend eternity in Heaven, God's eternal Kingdom.  Eternal salvation has nothing to do with your works, it's all about Jesus Christ' blood atonement sacrifice for us on the cross.

What about "Good People"?

Eternal salvation through Jesus Christ is not about being a good person.  It's about receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, believing in His blood atonement at the cross for your sin, and His rise from death 3 days later into Heaven.

You can't just be a "good person" and get into Heaven.  Unfortunately "good people" who ultimately reject Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will perish forever in the Lake of Fire because they rejected His gift of eternal salvation His blood atonement sacrifice for them.

Nobody is righteous enough to get into Heaven, that's why Jesus Christ died for us, as a blood atonement for our sin, so that we would be able to enter Heaven through His righteousness and not our own, but we have to accept His gift by verbally confessing Him as our Lord and Savior and believing in His blood atonement on the cross for our sins and that He was risen by God into Heaven 3 days after He was buried.

Romans 3:23-26 KJV

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Get Saved Now

Now is the time to get saved.  We are rapidly heading towards the Rapture. The Rapture is a moment in time when Jesus Christ calls all believers up to Heaven to escape the 7 year Tribulation of the Antichrist.  You can see this fast approaching.

You can see the mark of the beast just around the corner...the technology that would allow for this.  Everything is headed towards globalism, which will be led by the Antichrist.  It's already been prophesied in the Bible 2500+ years ago!

If you die today and you are unsaved, you have to spend eternity in hell. Get saved right now.  Receive the gift of eternal salvation.  God has called you- you are reading this right now.  Just do it!
